Major Update 1.6.2 - "The MULTIPLAYER Update"

Hey Everyone, Trent here! I am happy to announce the final major update for Wizzerd Quest: The Multiplayer Update! It brings full split-screen co-op for the entire game, a full Steam release, online play via Remote Play Together, support for ARM Linux devices, and more!

If you're curious why the video has the release date as a week ago, that's because the update got caught in Steamworks Approval Hell as I fixed all the small issues with the game that prevented it coming out on Steam. But we're through it now, and everything works!

Thank you all for coming on this journey with me through Wizzerd Quest's development.  Although this is the end of major updates for Wizzerd Quest, that does not mean the saga is over. I have been working on a new project that I look forward to sharing with you in the near future, something that is, frankly, gonna blow your minds.  You can stay up to date by joining the Kondoorsoft Discord. But until that day, when the Secret Project is revealed, please enjoy the 1.6.2 update. I hope you enjoy playing it as much as I enjoyed building and testing it.

Full Changelog:

- Added split-screen multiplayer co-op. It uses the same save file as single-player. Players share stats. Each only uses 50% of all resources but also only does 50% normal damage to balance.

- If playing via the Steam version, the game now supports Remote Play Together, allowing players to play together over the internet.

- Added a button in-game allowing you to jump back to the main menu. This allows the user to switch from single-player to multiplayer in less than 10 seconds (or at least, if your CPU + storage are decently fast).

- Added support for playing the game via Steam. Save files are saved in the same location regardless and are therefore shared between Steam and standalone versions.

- Replaced the FSR 1 upscaler with FSR 2.2. This vastly improves visuals at lower resolutions at a slight cost to performance and temporal stability. It can make distant objects look a little fizzly but the tradeoff is better fidelity at lower resolutions.

- Added support for Linux ARM64 devices. This should allow any Vulkan-capable 64-bit Linux device to run the game, including laptops, tablets, and single-board computers like the Raspberry Pi.

- Changed how areas are loaded/unloaded when walking through doors. This should lead to a CPU and RAM optimization and a performance boost on low-end hardware.

- Jump has been remapped on controller from A to Y, so that players aren't accidentally accepting menus while jumping around in multiplayer.

- Fixed a texture filtering bug that made grass appear blurry on certain GPUs. It's now crisp nearest neighbor filtered on all GPUs.

- Added a hotkey (B) on the controller to access the options menu, so you don't have to use the mouse to quit the game.

- Fixed an issue (that we had once before, ugh) where text got cut off the screen on 16:10 displays

- Increased the number of mouse sensitivity options. Many users found Slow too slow and Normal too fast. Now there is a happy medium

- Fixed a long-standing bug that prevented users from pressing Backspace while typing in their names.

- Fixed several crashes related to walking away while accessing a chest or bartering.

- Tons of smaller bug fixes you will never notice, but kept me up at night :)
